Eason to Open New Stores
Despite the global downturn, book group Eason are opening four new franchise stores this year. Their new store in Mullingar is opening today, and stores in Balbriggan, Carlow and Kilkenny will open over the next two months. The four shops will create an extra fifty jobs between them.
Eason has developed 17 franchise stores since it opened its first in Monaghan in 2005. The chain has 63 shops across Ireland and Northern Ireland and employs more than a thousand people.
